Agata Duda’s fashion choices are often commented on in the media and on the Internet. The first lady dresses in classic, tasteful sets that suit a particular situation well. She is reluctant to experiment with fashion. She usually chooses subdued colors of styling in simple cuts. This is what her position as First Lady of the Republic of Poland requires of her. It should come as no surprise that Agata Duda uses the support of stylists and fashion designers. One of her favorite style advisors is Dorota Goldpoint.
The designer is the author of the first lady’s most interesting creations. In Goldpoint’s dress Agata Duda appeared, among others, during a meeting with the former presidential couple of the United States. At the time, the white and black asymmetrical styling was well received by observers of the event.

Dorota Goldpoint is well-known among Polish celebrities, who eagerly reach for her creations. Agata Duda joined the group of celebrities dressed by the designer several years ago. The circumstances of their first meeting are downright surprising. It turns out that they were introduced to each other by a priest. It happened when both ladies were staying in Jurata. Goldpoint came to the seaside town to save a performance by opera singer Alicja Węgorzewska.
– Jurata is home to the parish priest, Father Marcin Nowak, the person everyone seems to turn to when they have a problem. He is really a wonderful person. Anyway, in his church he organized a concert by opera singer Alicja Węgorzewska,” the designer explained in an interview with wpolityce.pl.
Alicja Węgorzewska was supposed to wear a stage creation sewn by a certain seamstress. The specialist, however, did not do a good job with the task. That’s when Dorota Goldpoint stepped in.
– Unfortunately, she did it wrong, additionally damaging the material. One of my clients, who was involved in organizing the concert, called me to ask for help. Two days before the singer’s performance,” comments the designer.
The beginning of a fashion collaboration
The outfit designer saved the singer from a fashion slip-up. Everything was watched from the sidelines by Agata Duda, who appeared at the performance with her husband. After the concert, Rev. Nowak went to the presidential couple and asked about their impressions. The topic of Alicja Węgorzewska’s dress came up in the conversation.
– At the concert was the presidential couple, with whom Rev. Martin spoke afterwards. He asked how they liked Alicja’s performance, while emphasizing the qualities of “the dress made by Dorota Goldpoint, who has a boutique in Jurata.” Shortly thereafter, I received a call from the President’s Office and was asked to prepare several sets of styles for the President to try on,” Goldpoint concluded.
Soon after, Agata Duda showed up at the fashion designer’s Warsaw boutique to see the prepared creations. Dorota Goldpoint immediately perceived her as a warm person who loves classic clothes. For the artist, however, this is quite a challenge. After all, she has to stick to certain restrictions when creating styling for the first lady.
– It’s often the case that we have a certain range of colors in which we can move and which the lady president accepts. For state occasions we allow red, but we also like to see navy blue. Lighter colors in summer, darker colors in winter,” she said.
